Making the Most Out of Pastel Dreams 6x6 Paper Pack
Hello everyone, it's Zinia here and today I'd like to share with you a layout I created using primarily the Pastel Dreams 6x6 Paper Pack.
There are so many ways you can use a paper pack on your projects and in today's layout, I'll share with you a few different ideas that you can try.
The first thing sounds pretty obvious but I don't see it around very often. It's using a whole 6x6 sheet of paper as is. You don't need to have your full background covered with a patterned paper, just a 6x6 piece will give you enough ground to build an interesting composition and a beautiful page.
The second idea is to break and rebuild a pattern. In the paper pad, there's a gorgeous chevron pattern. I took that pattern and cut out each color strip, then adhered it on my background with added spaces between each strip. That way I can have all the colors and shapes of this pattern, without covering up a large solid area of my page.
Last but not least, my favorite technique of all is fussy cutting images. Most paper pads will have a pattern or two that consists of beautiful smaller images that you can fussy cut and use as embellishments. I cut out floral images from two different papers of the Pastel Dreams 6x6 Paper Pack and used them to decorate around my photo.
To finish off my page, I stamped a title from the Build-A-Flower: Poppy set and added some circles I die cut using the Fine Frames Circles Die. If you don't count the white cardstock and the title stamping, everything else on this page was created purely using one single paper pack! The possibilities are really endless!
