Creating Your Own Design With Stamps

I used three stamp sets: Freeform Greenery, Winter Rose, and Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus.

I started by tracing a 10.5-inch circle on white card stock with a pencil. This simple step created a pattern to follow, making it easier to obtain a somewhat perfect shape. I stamped the branch image from the Freeform Greenery stamp set repeatedly, varying its direction, to create the wreath. I then added leaves from the other two stamp sets here and there, no rhyme or reason, just the way I thought it was appealing to the eye. I used Evening Gray Crisp Ink for the lighter leaves, and Moon Rock for the darker ones.

To bring more color to the wreath, I stamped little buds from the Freeform Greenery set using Crisp Inks in Caramel Toffee and Deep Iris. I really love how vibrant the colors are!

For the picture, I just layered it with some patterned papers from the Our Family Scrapbook Collection and adhered it down with foam dots for dimension. The embellishments were kept to a minimum, as to not interfere with the intricate design of the wreath. I used the Winter Rose stamp set for the roses on the top left corner of the photo. Shades of purple and gray bring the whole page together. I also thought the wood veneer leaves included in the kit were perfect to finish that cluster.

The title is a cut file from my stash. In order to obtain a thicker embellishment, I cut it three times and adhered the layers together. I finished it with a glitter brush pen to give it a little bit of sparkle.

A few more leaves around the wreath, as well as enamel dots, finished the layout.
