How to Create a Background using Washi Tape

Kymona here to show you how to create a background using Washi Tape!
This technique is so much fun and you will love the simplicity of it. Now that Altenew has a new line of wide washi tape, the possibilities are endless.
Let's take a look:
How FABULOUS is that washi tape?!
I love the colors and the width. It is perfect for backgrounds. The name of this one is Watercolor Strokes Washi Tape.
Here's how to create this washi tape background:
Choose a plain piece of 12 x 12 cardstock.
Start at the top right-hand corner and carefully place the washi tape across the cardstock till the end.
Note: Don't worry about placing the washi tape down in the wrong place. It lifts up very easily without ripping the cardstock.
Simply rip the cardstock with your hands.
Use a scissor to clean up the edges of the cardstock and clip away any excess washi tape.
Leave a small space between each placement of washi tape. Continue until the end of the paper.
Use the stickers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection to add the title. Keep it nice and simple so that the beauty of the page stands out.
Adhere the photo down on the left side of the page and the typed journaling to the right with Altenew Glue Tape.
Add embellishments to the photo and to the journaling.
To finish off the page and add a bit of contrast, use the Reflection Collection Roller Stamp to add the date multiple times. Stamping off to create a dark to light pattern.
