Video: Colorful Scrapbook Layout with Leaf Canopy Stamp Set
Hello, Altenew fans!
It's Zinia here today and I have a really easy and colorful scrapbook layout idea to share with you using one stamp set.
The stamp set I'm using is Leaf Canopy but you can recreate a similar design with any stamp set you love. The reason I chose Leaf Canopy is that it has big images and if offers both outline and solid images that you can mix together for a fun result.
I started by stamping a pattern to cover the top half of my cardstock. I created my custom color palette by picking some of my all-time favorite colors of Altenew Crisp Dye inks. The colors I used are Bamboo, Rouge, Dew Drops, Sunkissed, and Desert Night.
Once I was done stamping my pattern, I stamped the outline images a couple of times on scrap pieces of paper using Pure Graphite ink. Then I die cut those extra images with the coordinating dies using my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine to create my own die-cut embellishments.
To create a separation between the stamped part and the blank bottom of the page, I cut some thin strips of colored cardstock. Since I didn't have cardstock that matched the beautiful green shade of the Bamboo ink, I masked off an area with washi tape and I created a strip using the ink blending technique.
I placed my photo in the middle of the scrapbook layout and created a cluster around it using the die-cut outline images I stamped earlier. For my title, I cheated and used two strips of the Label Love Stamp Set. I initially wanted to use one of the sentiments that are included in the Leaf Canopy set but the colorful blocks from the Label Love Stamp Set go really well with the cardstock strips on my page so I wanted to extend that stripy look further.
To finish off the page, I added a few splatters of Sea Glass Shimmer Ink Spray and my layout is complete! You can watch the whole process in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube.
