Basic Headers and Basic Borders Layout

Hello, Altenew fans! It's Lilith with a new layout to share.

I must admit that I did cheat a little bit because I started making this layout during my FB live on the Altenew FB page last week. However, since I didn't finish it, I thought I'd share the finished product here on the blog. For those who missed the FB live, you can watch it on the Altenew page.

 

 

Here’s how I made this layout.

Step 1: Cut a piece of patterned paper with flowers and place it on the top part of the white background paper. I used the Altenew Classic Crest Solar White cardstock as I love using this smooth paper for stamping.

Step 2: Create a stamped border using the Basic Borders and Basic Headers sets. Alternate ink colors. I picked red, green and blue, and tried to match the colors with those in my photo.

Step 3: Leave some white space at the bottom for the title and an embellishment cluster.

I decided to color in some of the roses on the patterned paper and colored in some extra which I cut out by hand. I used them as embellishments at the bottom of the page. For the coloring, I used Altenew's alcohol markers matching the colors with the inks I used.

The Basic Borders and Basic Headers stamp sets are great to have and can be used in so many ways. They are perfect if you like planners and can easily be used on cards and layouts.
